Upon meeting your adopted daughter Lilara again in the Gurlung Colossus, you can seal her fate:

• Allow her to complete her ritual, and grant her freedom from the pain of ash fever, her spirit imbued in a flock of mechanical birds.
• Capture her spirit in the magic bottle found on the beach near Jolev, and carry her with you.
