Zerith is met conducting an experiment involving a Ghost-Eater and a caged black cat:

• Observe what happens;

• Free the cat and foil Zerith's study;

Though Zerith does not notice, the cat circles back and watches you through the trees. Its spirit is partly detached from its body, but occasionally snaps back into place. - Ghost-Eaters of the Forgotten Forest (RPA-ADV7)

Following the closure of the rift at Carleval, Zerith can be found meditating and tells you her future plans;

“I saw what happened at Carleval. With the rift now closed, the Ghost-Eaters will no longer visit the Forgotten Forest. That may be good news for Falandore, but it’s bad news for the Starlit Door. We had hoped to study those creatures for years to come. Fortunately, I’ve managed to secure one of the stragglers. Depending on your previous depiction of the Giant Mangrove, Zerith will approve of your fancy or warn you that science will not do well here:

• If you drew the mangrove literally, you will document the clearing as accurately as possible.
• If you drew the mangrove metaphorically, you will document the clearing as artfully as possible.

Zerith will then ask you to label the Forgotten Forest as “Witchwood”, the name given it by necromancers:

• Do as she asks and receive a scroll as a gift.
• Mark it as Forgotten Forest and gain peace of mind.

You notice the sounds and sight of wolves moving through the forest. A yell from the woods draws you away from you companions.

• Attack the pack, saving the courier you find surrounded by wolves.
• Join the pack, attack the courier taking the courier's silk tabard and letting the pack take their fill.
