It is not uncommon for witches and warlocks to embellish stories about themselves in order to solidify their reputation. That is almost certainly the case with “Zerith the Endless,” the sorcerer and potion-master most recently residing in Falandore. Rumors are frequently circulated that she is much older than her appearance would imply—perhaps even hundreds of years old.

Like her supposed immortality, the other folktales surrounding Zerith should probably be treated with a degree of skepticism: the she placed a curse on a young noblewoman, turning her into a pig; that she conducted “experiments” on the ghosts of the Forgotten Forest; or that she is surreptitiously one of the highest-ranking members of the secret organization, the Starlit Door.
