Frogkin Temple

A temple in Bogroot Swamp constructed to worship the Frogkin god Buurglap. Great mangrove roots surround the base of the temple.

Giant roots embrace the simple form of a stone temple. As you approach, you hear the sound of a hammer at work. - Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)

Statue

The statue of Buurglap speaks and acts of its own accord, interacting directly with a myriad of things in the swamp;

You let the ice slug roam over the fragments of the idol’s face that are piled on the floor. It finds the Frogkin god’s open mouth and crawls inside. The jaws of the god clamp down as if to eat the slug, but then spits it back out again.
You place the clean, baked basilisk egg and the freezing elixir in the hands of the Frogkin god. “Your offering is incomplete,” he says. One of his arms lowers, letting the egg fall toward the floor. You catch it just in time. - Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)

Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)

Upon first arrival, the Frogkin priest is seen dismantling the large statue of Buurglap, manipulated by the Demon Elsifor;

You enter, passing through a low archway, and see a robed priest atop the statue of the Frogkin god, Buurglap, chipping away at the idol’s face. A faithful devotee stands at the foot of the idol, begging her priest to put down his chisel. - Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)
  • Attempt to stop the priest:
    • Succeed, and he goes back with the devotee to Sandhill Village.
    • Fail, and he manages to fight you off, disappearing into the swamp.
  • Attempt to toss the devotee into the water:
    • Succeed, and she is removed from the place.
    • Fail, and she pushes you into the water instead, taking the priest back to Sandhill Village.

Silver Threads of Fate (LC1)

A rift in Sabek leads you to the temple in Bogroot Swamp. You discover that the Starlit Door operative Rose has been frozen in place. Using a Bluestone Fireball, you will be able to free her if you wish.

A pair of Klynoks are also in the temple. Depending on previous decisions, this may or may not be a peaceful encounter.
