A network of passageways lie below the ruined village and [[dry_well|dry well]] in the [[saurian_wasteland|Saurian Wasteland]]. The passageways had been a rich underground water system for the [[saurian|Saurians]]. Dried up several generations ago, empty caverns remained. - Gulpax's Journal (GS-Journal)

The caverns have become useful for secret meetings, past and present. The only light available is cast from lit torches or central fire pit.

Ample water once flowed through the passages below the [[saurian_wasteland|Wasteland]] above. But, legend tells of the work of [[khalo_zat|Khalo Zat]], famed artisan of the [[saurian|Saurians]]. He had aspirations of opening portals to other [[planes|planes]]. He clearly had been successful as he had a map of the near-planes.

Despite the protests of others, he opened a portal to [[kleetoth|Kleetoth, plane of crystal]], allowing crystalline beings to enter the [[saurian_wasteland|Wasteland]]. They drained the land of all its water, shooting it far into the sky. It is said that the mist that surrounds the land is all that remains.

Climbing into the [[dry_well|dry well]], you lower yourself into one of the passageways. Following it downhill, you find [[nayo|Nayo]] and [[imbri|Imbri]] gathered in one of the caverns. They have captured the [[gnoll|Gnoll]] [[awook|Awook]]. They accuse him of working with the [[order_of_assassins|Order of Assassins]]. Before you can get the whole story, [[awook|Awook]] frees himself.

  * Side with [[awook|Awook]].

The ensuing battle is difficult and fierce. Darkness surrounds the combatants. 

Following the battle, you learn of a [[durgolium_box|durgolium box]] in [[zug|Zug's]] possession. It will prove helpful in the upcoming battle in the [[frozen_expanse|Frozen Expanse]].
