Upon arrival, the people of Jolev are in hiding, for fear of the [[giant_troll|Giant Troll]] that has made itself known in the area and allegedly kidnapped [[esther_dunegrass|Esther Dunegrass]];

>//Standing alone in the town square, the mayor welcomes you to Jolev. “Sorry for this humble greeting,” he says, “but everyone is in hiding.” He gestures around, and you see that boards cover the windows of every shop but the blacksmith’s. After returning [[esther_dunegrass|Esther]] safely home, the town returns to its usual boisterousness;
