The journal is made of weathered brown leather.  The cover is adorned with the shape of a gear, the shape used by [[gulpax_s_agents|Gulpax's Agents]].  The back of the book bears [[gulpax|Gulpax's]] name.

The pages are worn from constant use.  Multiple pages appear to be missing.  

[[gulpax|Gulpax]] records all of her ideas for inventions in this journal.  The book also contains notes from her various travels around [[ulos|Ulos]].  She generally keeps it with her or hidden somewhere in her [[gulpax_s_workshop|workshop]], away from peering eyes.

==== Servants of Azema (GS-ADV2) ====

A [[bodyguard|bodyguard]] in your party discovers the journal while snooping through her [[gulpax_s_workshop|workshop]]. 

You discover a code hidden in the journal.  It speaks of her laboratory being destroyed and her notes about the [[planes|planarverse]] stolen.  [[gulpax|Gulpax]] hopes to preserve that knowledge here. (GS-Guide-ADV2-21)

Pages are clearly missing. Something happened in the [[frozen_expanse|Frozen Expanse]] that [[gulpax|Gulpax]] wishes to keep a secret.

A royal bodyguard named [[malto|Malto]] is named in her journal. He is described as "honest" and "trustworhty".
